Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy

1. Who we are

ValueInfluence LLC ("we", "us") is a US company, registered in Homewood, Illinois, that provides creator-marketing services to TikTok Shop sellers in the United States.

2. Scope

This policy explains how we handle data processed through Creator Outreach, our private TikTok Shop Partner application. The app is used only for sellers who have authorized it through TikTok Shop.

3. Data we process

With a seller's authorization, and only through the official TikTok Shop APIs, we process:

  • Shop data: authorized shop identifiers and the OAuth access tokens needed to call the APIs.
  • Creator marketplace data: creators' public profile and performance information (username, nickname, avatar URL, follower count, GMV ranges, categories, and aggregated audience demographics).
  • Messages: messages exchanged between the seller and creators in TikTok Shop affiliate messaging.
  • Collaboration records: target collaborations and free-sample applications, which may include sample order IDs and tracking numbers.
  • Analytics: aggregated shop, product and video performance data.
  • Affiliate orders: order ID, product, creator username and commission amounts.
  • Our users: names, email addresses and roles of our own staff who use the app.

We do not collect buyer or consumer names, addresses, phone numbers or payment information.

We use this data only to provide the services the seller has requested: finding suitable creators, sending outreach and collaboration invitations that a person has approved, managing free-sample requests, and reporting on affiliate performance. Our basis is the seller's authorization and our service agreement with the seller.

5. Where data is stored

All data is stored and processed on company-controlled systems located in the United States. We do not store TikTok Shop data with third-party cloud storage providers.

6. Sharing

  • We exchange data only with TikTok Shop through its official APIs.
  • If a seller enables AI-assisted message drafting, creator public profile information and the seller's brand description may be sent to the configured AI provider to produce a draft. A person must review and approve every draft before it is sent.
  • We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

7. Security

We protect data with TLS encryption in transit, signed API requests, full-disk encryption at rest, individual accounts with role-based least-privilege access, bcrypt-hashed passwords, secrets kept out of logs and source code, and regular patching. Details are set out in our Information Security Policy.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep data only as long as needed to serve the seller. Within 30 days after a seller revokes authorization or our contract ends, we delete the seller's data and the related creator data, and we revoke the access tokens. Encrypted backups are retained for no more than 30 days.

9. Your requests

Sellers, creators and TikTok Shop may ask us to access, correct or delete personal data by writing to info@valueinfluence.com. We respond within 30 days, and we assist sellers and TikTok Shop with any request they receive about data we process for them.

10. Breach notification

If we confirm a security incident affecting seller or creator data, we notify the affected sellers and TikTok Shop within 72 hours, explaining what happened, what data was involved and what we are doing about it.

11. Changes

We review this policy at least annually and update it when our practices change. The version and effective date at the top show the latest update.
